The objective of the BOSIET with Emergency Breathing System (EBS) and Travel Safely by Boat (TSbB) course is to equip personnel with essential safety knowledge and practical skills required for working in an offshore environment. This training aims to ensure the safety of individuals by preparing them to respond effectively in emergencies, especially in helicopter transit and marine transport situations.

The objectives includes:

1. Emergency Response:

Equip participants with the skills to respond to offshore emergencies, including evacuations, fire incidents, and abandon ship procedures.

2. Use of Emergency Breathing System (EBS):

Train participants in the proper donning and use of an EBS, used in the event of a helicopter ditching to increase survival chances.

3. Travel Safely by Boat (TSbB):

Provide knowledge and skills for safe marine transport, including pre-boarding checks, safety briefings, boarding procedures, and emergency protocols.

4. Helicopter Safety and Escape:

Familiarize participants with the helicopter safety procedures and underwater escape techniques following a controlled ditching or crash at sea.

5. Basic Offshore Survival Techniques:

Teach basic survival skills, including first aid, cold water shock management, and safe abandonment into the water using lifeboats or life rafts.

The course ensures that personnel understand and comply with safety regulations to reduce risks associated with offshore work.

A. A valid, current offshore medical certificate

OR

B. An employing company approved medical certificate equivalent to an offshore medical certificate

OR

C. Undergoes medical screening by completing an appropriate medical screening form provided by IMOSTI, Inc.
