The objective of the Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (T-BOSIET) with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) is to provide personnel working in offshore tropical environments with the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergency situations. The course focuses on safety induction, survival techniques, and the use of emergency equipment, with specific emphasis on CA-EBS.

- Safety Induction: Introducing the hazards and risks associated with offshore work, especially in tropical regions.
- Emergency Response Training: Preparing participants to respond to emergencies such as fires, helicopter ditching, and evacuation.
- Survival Techniques: Teaching survival procedures in the event of a helicopter ditching or abandoning an offshore installation.
- CA-EBS Use: Training in the proper donning and use of the CA-EBS during helicopter travel over water.
- First Aid: Providing basic first aid and CPR training specific to offshore environments.
- Firefighting and Self-Rescue: Developing the ability to react to and fight fires, as well as escape from smoke-filled environments.

Learners must meet basic medical fitness requirements such as: A. Evidence of valid, current offshore medical certificate OR B. Possess an employing company approved medical certificate equivalent to an offshore medical certificate AND C. Undergoes medical screening by completing an appropriate medical screening form provided by the IMOSTI, Inc., and Be able to self-certify their fitness to train on the day of in-water HUET activities
