The objective of the T-FOET (Further Offshore Emergency Training) with CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) course is to refresh and update offshore workers’ skills and knowledge to safely respond to emergencies in offshore environments.

Specifically, the course focuses on:

  1. Emergency Evacuation:

Reinforcing the procedures for evacuating an offshore facility in an emergency.

2. Survival Techniques:

Teaching the use of survival equipment, including life rafts and personal survival techniques in water.

 

3. Firefighting and Self-Rescue:

Updating skills on the use of firefighting equipment, fire prevention, and self-rescue techniques in the event of smoke or fire.

 

4. Helicopter Safety:

Ensuring participants can respond to helicopter-related emergencies, particularly focusing on how to safely evacuate and survive a helicopter ditching.

 

5. CA-EBS Use:

Updating knowledge and practical skills in donning and using the Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS), especially in helicopter escape scenarios.



Overall, the course ensures offshore personnel remain competent in emergency response procedures and the use of essential safety equipment, maintaining their readiness for any offshore emergency situation.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Individuals who are currently working in offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, or maritime industries and need to refresh their BOSIET or FOET Training.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Learners must meet basic medical fitness requirements such as:

A. Evidence of valid, current offshore medical certificate

OR

B. Possess an employing company approved medical certificate equivalent to an offshore medical certificate

AND

C. Undergoes medical screening by completing an appropriate medical screening form provided by the IMOSTI, Inc., and Be able to self-certify their fitness to train on the day of in-water HUET activities.

TRAINING PRE-REQUISITE

A. A valid (in-date) OPITO-approved BOSIET (with CA-EBS), BOSIET(with EBS), TBOSIET, FOET (with CA-EBS), FOET(with EBS)

OR

B. TFOET certificate.
