The Tropical Further Offshore Emergency Training (T-FOET) course is designed for personnel working in tropical offshore environments who need to refresh and update their knowledge and skills in emergency response.
The key objectives of the T-FOET course are:
- Helicopter Safety and Escape
- Refresh knowledge of helicopter travel safety and emergency protocols.
- Practice helicopter escape techniques in the event of a ditching or water impact.
2. Firefighting and Self-Rescue
- Reinforce firefighting skills, including the use of firefighting equipment to tackle small fires.
- Practice self-rescue techniques in situations such as smoke-filled environments or when evacuating from an offshore installation.
3. Sea Survival and First Aid
- Review procedures for sea survival, including the proper use of life jackets, life rafts, and other personal survival equipment.
- Update basic first aid skills to deal with potential offshore medical emergencies.
These objectives are designed to refresh and verify the skills and knowledge necessary to respond effectively to offshore emergencies, thereby enhancing safety and reducing risks associated with working in a tropical offshore environment.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Individuals who are currently working in offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, or maritime industries and need to refresh their BOSIET or FOET Training.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Learners must meet basic medical fitness requirements such as: A. A valid, current offshore medical certificate OR B. An employing company approved medical certificate equivalent to an offshore medical certificate OR C. Undergoes medical screening by completing an appropriate medical screening form provided by IMOSTI, Inc.
TRAINING PRE-REQUISITE
A valid (in-date) OPITO-approved BOSIET, BOSIET (with CA-EBS), TBOSIET, FOET, FOET (with CA-EBS) OR TFOET certificate.
